L. J. Fiesel Company was founded in 1976 by Larry Fiesel as a Manufacturers Representative specializing in commercial HVAC products. The opportunity to start a new representative firm arose when Ben Paller of Paller Engineering wanted to retire and sell his existing firm to the employees. Rather than the employees purchasing Paller Engineering each employee chose to form a new company based around the manufactures represented by Paller and with Mr. Paller’s recommendations and assistance several new companies emerged.
Larry Fiesel got his start in the business in 1960 while still in high school with a summer intern position with James T. Lee and Associates, a locally based Consulting Engineer. While starting at an entry level position Larry was able to use his drafting talents and learn the basics of Electrical, Plumbing and Heating/Ventilating design. After high school graduation Larry enrolled into Purdue University and studied Mechanical Engineering along with various courses in Architectural Design all the while thinking his future career was in Architecture. While attending Purdue Larry continued to work with James T. Lee and after being graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering he decided that engineering was more to his liking than architecture. Moving into a lead design position in HVAC Larry’s engineer career continued until 1970 at which time he was offered a sales position with Paller Engineering.
After six years of sales with Paller Engineer Larry started L. J. Fiesel Company with Carnes Company, Car-Mon Products, American Warming & Ventilating, Wiremold and several other HVAC manufacturers. In 1990 the company was able to acquire E. H. Price, a Canadian manufacturer that recently opened manufacturing facilities in Atlanta, GA. In 2002 the company was able to obtain the Titus line of grilles, registers and diffusers and Ruskin line of dampers and louvers. In 2005 Twin City Fan & Blowers moved their line to Fiesel thus completing a strong mix of leading HVAC manufacturers.
In 2007, after forty-seven years in the industry, Larry accepted an opportunity to retire when Ken Arnsmeyer of Langendorf Supply in St Louis offered to purchase L. J. Fiesel Company and expand their operations into Indiana.
Today LJ Fiesel Company continues to operate with one goal in mind, delivering superior customer service to all of our customers without compromising the highest ethical and moral standards.
